The Town Council has an office in the Town Hall, Church, Street, Sheringham, which is open to the public on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings from 9.30am to 12.30pm.
The Council has a Cemetery in Weybourne Road, Sheringham, and also owns an Allotment Site in Weybourne Road and is Custodian of the SSSI/SAC Beeston Regis Common and the Back and Top Commons in Sheringham.
The Council has 16 Members and meets monthly – there is an Allotments Cemetery & Commons Committee, a General Purposes & Development Committee and a Planning Committee which meet regularly. The Council also has a Community Centre Committee & an Employment Committee which meet when required.
The Council currently has 2 vacancies in the North Ward and 1 vacancy in the South Ward which are to be filled by co-option as no election has been called. If you are interested in becoming a Town Councillor please send your application details to the Town Clerk by 15th June 2013.
The Council has recently purchased the new Community Centre, Holway Road and is holding an Open Week when you can come along to have a look round your new Community Centre. The Open Week is from Monday 24th June to Friday 28th June from 1pm to 4pm and Saturday 29th June from 10am to 12noon.
LastIn 2012 the Town Council took over the Station Approach putting green from District Council and subsequently leased the putting green to an Operator. It is open from 1st April to 31st October with the Operator publicising actual opening days/times on notices at the putting green.
